Keeping it Fresh: Produce in the Fall

From the end of October to the early part of March, the crops we reap from California strongholds-Salinas, Santa Maria, Oxnard, and Fresno-transition to the border towns of California, Arizona, and Texas. Now El Centro, Holtville, Yuma, Nogales, and McAllen, become the main providers of produce. Likewise, the crops themselves change. We eat different foods this time of year.
