Keeping it Fresh: U.S. Ports

U.S. ports are important in our industry. Two billion tons of cargo, both imported and exported goods, flow through the U.S. port system annually. This number will double in size by the year 2020. Brokers and carriers need to continue to stay updated with what is involved when entering a port to load, such as fees and loading procedures.  Produce loads, for instance, are often transported through major U.S. ports.
