Carrier Connection: Feds Consider Speed Limitations on Trucks

Possibly coming as early as this summer we could see a proposed rule change from the FMCSA that would require the use of speed limiters on over-the-road trucks as a way to try and eliminate some of the fatal crashes on U.S. highways involving tractor trailers. The proposed rule change is seemingly equally supported, and opposed by the ATA and OOIDA with each organization stating their position is based on a concern for the safety of U.S. highways.
