Over the past 6 months the world has seen the price per barrel of crude oil drop from $100/barrel in June, to under $60/barrel currently.  This should be easy math, right?  Clearly the USDA National average of diesel should fall and conversely truck rates along with them.  While the national average price for gasoline has dropped precipitously, the same cannot be said for diesel prices.  What does the drop in crude oil prices really mean to the transportation industry?
