Big Al’s Salute to Service

This year, Allen Lund Company wanted to salute those who serve our community both at home and abroad. Our loyal mascot Big Al has received a new wrap to honor those who have dedicated their lives to serving their fellow man. ALC has been fortunate to have partnered with several organizations over the years including those listed here:

AmericanCancerSociety

American Cancer Society: Over 10 years sponsoring and participating in Relay for Life to raise money for those dedicated to finding a cure for cancer. Total contributions are over $100,000.

Wreaths-Across-America

Wreaths Across America: Participated for 6 consecutive years delivering wreaths at Christmas to cemeteries around the nation including Arlington National Cemetery (3,585 out of the 143,394 wreaths placed there were arranged with our carriers).

Navidad

Navidad en el Barrio: 8th consecutive years donating transportation and produce tohelp feed the poor with food baskets for Christmas dinners. Participation has helped feed over 600,000 people.

ChildrensHospital

Children’s Hospital Los Angeles: Over 10 years supporting the mission of Children’s Hospital through participation, fundraising and guilds. Each year, Children’s Hospital provides more than 104,000 children with pediatric health care in a setting designed just for their needs.

MissionHaiti

Mission Haiti: Since 2007, ALC has donated transportation services for water tankers, relief and educational supplies to Haiti. Mission Haiti supports the many outreach projects of Hands Together including education, agricultural production, water well drilling and charitable aid.

VerbumDei

Verbum Dei High School: For 7 years now, ALC has provided work study opportunities at our headquarters for high school students. Verbum Dei High School is a Catholic, Jesuit college and career preparatory complemented by our corporate internship program, serving the young men of Watts.
